Suggestions on good scanner!

I was looking for some suggestion on a good scanner, nothing increadibly fancy or anything. hopefully in the $100-150 range. I found on on sale at Target (an HP2200C scan Jet going for $80. I do lots of photoshop work and mainly would like to use it to clean up eevisting pictures that I have. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the Microtek X6 and its pretty awesome - a little slow (by my tastes - I can't actually compare it to any others though), but great image quality.
It wasn't very expensive.

The X12 is supposed to be an excellent scanner...
