RealPlayer Audible plugin not working ?

I bought an audiofile at Audible.com. I downloaded the AudiblePlugin for RealPlayer basic 8. Installed everything but it doesn't work and RealPlayer says it still requires additional software. No way to get this through RealPlayer update.
I transferred the audiofile to my PC, was able to download the needed plugin through RealPlayer 8 and it worked immediately. Why ? Mac not good enough ?
