iMac 333MHz Digital Video Connection

I want to connect a digital camcorder to an old iMac (no firewire port). Is it possible?? and if it is, will the quality be compromised because of the lack of firewire??

Nope.
Not realistically. And if it were, it would be (a) ridiculously slow, and (b) yes there would be a loss of quality...

Not to mention you wouldn't be able to control it from the comp - it'd be a straight play-and-record affair...
