Just finsihed up recording my band on my Roland VS880EX digital workstation (small all in one 8 track recorder) Used my ibook to help out the mix at the end of the process.
I'm about 2 weeks from sending all 14 songs to get Mastered professionally. They will be packaging and duplicating them. We recorded these songs in a Living room live. If you like good song writing and Country/bluegrass/outlaw/good music...you'll like this (I hope)

Please listen and critique. Would you buy it?? Anyhow, you have to download them but Please tell me what you think. I play the percussion and record and mix everything.

thanks!!!!

not bad at all... sounds VERY professional... The only think I can think of is the fact that some of the words are lost because the background music is loud... I couldn't hear some of the words, but I don't have great sound...

Good work... Give us some info... your band? how long have you played? How old are you?

really good recording quality (listening on my 7506's as i type), and very good mixing on your part!!! i find mixing the trickiest part of recording. now, would i buy your disc? personally, i'm not sure, not really what i'm into (hell, i make electronic/dance music in my apt!), but good song writing and good music transcends all, and you definitely have that.

now, being a tech head myself, may i ask, besides the Roland VS, what effects processors, mics, etc do you use?

thanks guys for the postitive feedback!!!

Tr. besides the VS880EX, nothing was used as far as outboard gear. The mics on the guitars were Shure ASX-4 condensers (I think thats the exact name not having them in front of me) I used 2 crown PZMs for my percussion. Vocals were just some normal decent EVs. Ran everthing into a Mackie for a preamp then directly into the VS.

I then record via digital out on the VS into my little Onkyo stand alone CD duplicator. Next into my iBook for a quick normalizeing on Bias Peak. Done.

All the effects used are the built in effects. I use automix like my life depends on it too. All of it was recorded live with minimal overdubing in a small living room. Mixed in my bedroom.

Next for the pros to master it. http://www.Discmakers.com

I really like those 2 songs personally. Its very diffrent sort of venture for me. I was always was into many diffrent forms of music being a music major. This is diffrent. The songwriter is amazing. I wish I had THAT talent.

thanks again guys. I really apprecieate any feedback!!!!!
