I'm thinking about getting A Sony DCR TRV 120 or 8000 (Plus DV-in enabler), to use with my iMac DVse (OS 9.1) & iMovie 1.

Before I spend my hard earned cash, are there any potential pitfalls I should know about?

I'll mostly be editing my old 8mm footage to begin with.
