Sony Video Walkman/iMovie compatability?

	I've tried without success to link a borrowed GV-D900E PAL to iMovie1 but keep getting a message saying "The camera you have connected is a different video standard from your project" -- the 'project' is footage captured from a PAL Sony DCR-PC10e (no DV-in, I'm afraid) which I'm trying to export to the Walkman--- so, er, what's the compatability problem, given their both PAL? Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!
