Yeah, I had trouble finding it too. What you have to do is find a site that doesn't link back the Apple's site. I forgot where I dled mine, but you can get it. I'll post the link if I find it again. Personally, though, I would just go buy iMovie2. Unless you plan on only doing the most basic basic basic things with your film, iMovie is a waste of HD space. I'm still using it, but that's only because I hope to get FCP for Christmas.

I just wanna tweak a home movie so I can burn it as VCD.

Like change the dimensions of the movie, save it as NTSC, etc.

Though I'm not really an authority on iMovie, I don't think it can do either of those. If I am correct, the video camera should already have it saved in the NTSC format or one of the others iMovie doesn't convert it as far as I know. Also, by dimensions do you mean screen dimensions? iMovie only exports in the basic TV format. You won't be able to the widescreen 16:9 deal. Maybe somebody who knows a little more than me can help though. . .

iMovie has been removed from Apple's site, likely forever. The 'superior' iMovie2 is available for $50, a little steep, but only 5% of the price of Final Cut Pro

Some Mac dealers may have iMovie1 CDs lying around, possibly for cheap sale. You may want to call around.

Good luck,

Why not set up a Hotline server? Or an FTP account of you're using OS X? Much easier that way...

Gee, we have Stars on our names now? Joy.

If you can break the file up into 5mb chunks and email them seperately, that would rule. Let me know if you can.

you could also try looking on the different Hotline servers out there; some conveniently keep apple's older stuff on their system.

I know what you're thinking, and no, it's not all pirated stuff

I've created a share folder at http://www.driveway.com

For those of you who want a copy of iMovie1.0.2, just leave your email to me so that I can create a guest account. After that you will have access to the iMovie folder...

Enjoy.....

ooops, I forgot to compress it first, well it was a .smi (self mounting image) but I think driveway does something with the format...or the images, so I'll repost this asap in .bin or hqx format...
