I am doing a presentation on Hollywood for a class, and I want to open with a dramatic video clip. If you have seen Swordfish, you may know that the beginning features the protagonist calling Hollywood movies crap. Anyway, I want to use this clip in my presenation. How do I do this?

I have the DVD, but I don't know how to extract this clip from it. Does anyone know how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you're going to have to use a program like DVDextractor to rip the right chapter off the DVD. you'll end up with a demuxed file-- a ac3 audio file, and an m2v video file. you then have to use a program like mACdec to convert the ac3 into aiff, and use a program like MacMPEG2Decoder to convert the m2v into quicktime. then you have to reassemble the audio and video in a video editing program like FCP. export the project to quicktime and you're done. it's so simple, isn't it ?

good luck,

Final Cut Pro is overkill for just multiplexing. just copy the video, and edit->add it to the audio in Quicktime Pro. if it's not synced already, use QTMutator to tweak it
