I am going to make a bunch of DVDs using DVD Studio Pro. I was wondering what program you all think export the best video files to be imported in the DVD Studio Pro and what format you use.

Do you always do a MPEG2 (.m2v) file to import into the program?

Well it depends on what the final DVD is going to be used for. Is it going to be a master for a run of DVD's(ie output to a DLT drive) or simply for your own personal use. If it's the latter then the MPEG encoder that ships with DVDSP is fine. IF you're using Final Cut to edit your footage you even just export your timeline directly. There are other hardware options that will provide better quality if you need it. Check out 2-pop (the DVD authoring section) for much more detailed discussions.
