Hi everyone!

I currently have several MPEG2 files that I need still images from. I don't have any source video footage to work with so FCP2 won't help me out much. I can convert the whole 30 minute video to MPEG1 so FCP2 could work with it, but that takes nearly three hours on the machine I'm working with (not to mention too much HD space). Does anyone know of a program that can get still shots from MPEG2? Thanks!

Get MacMPEG2Decoder from http://mm2d.3ivx.com

It has a feature which lets you jump to any point in an MPEG2 and look at it in its transform window, you could then screenshot.

The only problem is the current version lets you jump to non keyframes, and they appear corrupted...

Future versions will probably have framestepping controls.
