I hope someone out there has an answer to this problem.
My new G4 733 w/SuperDrive will not recognize the DVD-R Disks that Apple shipped with it?????
No matter what app I use I get basically the same error, it doesn't see the DVD-R disk as writable.
Apps: iDVD, iMovie, Disk Burner, Toast Titanium 5.0
In searching the Apple TIL db, the only thing I could find was in TIL #58770. At the bottom under the "notes" section was the following:
2. The SuperDrive can read, but cannot write to 3.9 GB or 4.7 GB DVD-R (for Authoring) discs.
I hope I am reading this wrong, because Apple shipped a 4.7 GB DVD-R with the machine.
Can anyone shed any light on this.......
