Hello, when I convert an MPG movie from mpg to DV stream with Quicktime pro, I do not get the audio. Is there a way to preserve the audio? Or another way to get it into iMovie with the audio?

SInce iMovie uses QT I'm surprised that it can't open MPEGs. Have you tried just opening it? Or saving it in a Quicktime movie from QTPro (File -> Save as)? Otherwise there are a couple of ways to get the audio from an MPEG movie, search the forum.

The MPEG file is 'muxed'. Use something like bbdemuxer (use versiontracker). This will seperate the audio from the video and both can be converted seperately. Unfortunately, you have to recombine the streams yourself, but that shouldn't be too difficult.
