Disabling Quicktime pro for FCP

Does anyone know how to disable Quicktime pro? The installation instructios for FCP indicate that this is neccessary, but I can't find out how to do it. Thanks

what are you talking about?

quicktime pro is required to use FCP. the $20 to register qt is well worth it. especially when compared to the $1000 for FCP.

My fault, I misunderstood. I thought it meant to unlock QTPro meaning disable it. I'm an idiot, works like a charm now. Sorry.

FCP includes a key to enable QT Pro.
