Purchased my final componet for video. I have an analog Camcorder and instead of investing in a new camcorder I decided to get the Dazzel Hollywood DV Bridge. I was very surprized with the contents of the boxes. The first box has the Bridge with software. The second includes a PCI Firewire card. I guess that is for the pc users without firewire. I think that they should sell a Mac version with just the bridge, and a pc verison with all the needed software and card, and sell the Mac version cheaper, it would probbly even sell more. But, for 300$ it's a complete video solution, nothing else to buy. Hooked it up to my mac, and went playing in FCP. Once I found the manual mode for video capture, I was so happy. Can't complain at all. All I have done so far was importing, and in a few more weeks will buy a long enough cable to run to my VCR for export. I do like haing this instead of a digital camcorder because I can capture what come off the cable from my VCR if ever needed.
