Try this: Go to <http://www.kexp.org>; click on the listen with MP3 player link and see if it launches iTunes. I can't seem to figure out how to configure my helper applications to do this. I have set iTunes as the player type for ".pls" streams, but it won't launch in either Netscape or IE. Windows Media Player and RealAudio launch just fine. When I click on the MP3 link it takes me to a grey screen with a URL; if I type this into the iTunes go to URL window it works. If you can get iTunes to launch, please tell me how. I am using iTunes, IE 5, Netscape 4.72 and OS 9.0.4 on a 233 MHz Bondi iMac.

Thanks, Val

I got it to work with IE 5. I had IE open and opened iTunes. I chose the preferences in iTunes and pushed the button to set "Use iTunes for Internet Music Playback:". It changed and added a bunch of helper app settings in IE. And then it worked. You end up with an entry in the iTunes library that you can use so you don't have to go to the website anymore. The only way I found so far for Netscape, was to save the link to disk and then drag the link over iTunes. And that also gives an entry in the library. So you only have to do it once. I tried MacAmp and had the same results. Yes with IE, no with Netscape.

I used IE 5, Netscape 4.75, and OS 9.1
