I am trying to convert a PowerPoint slide show into a Video CD.
PowerPoint -> QT Movie -> Toast -> Video CD

Getting PowerPoint to export to QT was no problem... have the movie playing in QT player.

Dragging that .mov to Toast gave me an error stating that it must have an audio track. Seems stupid, but okay... so I redid the export in PowerPoint and included a soundtrack.

Dragging that .mov with soundtrack to Toast seemed to start converting... but then in errored out with Mac OS Error -2060. Any idea what that is?

Has anyone succeeded in doing this??

Ultimately, I'd like to be able take small PowerPoint presentations, convert them to DV Streams that iMovie can use as a clip. Then use iMovie to blend in with other video clips. And then export the whole from iMovie through Toast to Video CD. Anyone done similar?

Thanks!

When exporting from PowerPoint, do you get a choice of codec? if so, try experimenting with that.

This is actually the best way to do this (PP -> .mov Then .mov-> .dv Then .dv-> iMovie Then iMovie ->Toast ). Converting the movie to a .dv stream directly should fix your toast problems. I have done something similar and things should be fine. You'll want to spit out the biggest movie PP will let you to make it look decent though.
