I have been trying to convert a mpeg-1 audio file that i extracted from a mpeg to a mp3 file, or something else that iMovie will accept. The file extension is a .m1a file, so I'm not really sure what it is, but I assumed it's a mpeg-1 audio file. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

when I want mp3's from mpg's I use BBDemux to get an mpa file, then SoundApp to get an aiff file, then lame to get an mp3. I don't know about m1a, but SoundApp is generally good about reading anything you throw at it
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool
