A little confused about where to put this request for help, but here goes:

I am planning a trade-show booth presentation and what I want is to set up a flat-panel attached to a computer (Ti book or G4) and give the attendees a mouse to browse the presentation with.

First, I do not yet know what I will be using for the presentation - all the art is in Illustrator but I can make it into a powerpoint presentation or use a browser. In any case, how do you lock down the computer so it only runs whatever program you want and keeps pesky people from crashing it during the show?

I've got 9.1 and X so whichever gets the job done is the winner....

Thanks in advance for any insights or help....

You want OS9 - give them only a mouse, get into your app (whether PowerPoint, or what - the best option is one with no menubar), and kill every other aspect of the system.

Perhaps even delete the Finder, and put the app used in its place - rename it "Finder", and change its type/creator to FNDR/MACS.

Even rebooting the system will take them back to the app.
HyperCard would be the best option, but it can't do graphics higher than 8-bit

Perhaps HyperStudio or something, but its nothing compared to HC...

PowerPoint is probably your best option. Disable all menu's, and that little box that you can get to in the corner...
