I need to remove a visible name that has been captured on DV. How do I either blur the name, or add a black box over the name before I export to QuickTime?

do you have access to FCP or any other editing app? What are you using? FCP would be easy but you can use QuickTime Pro by importing a mask image. You could create a mask in Photoshop and the while in QT Pro get movie properties in MOVIE menu ( or press command J). Once in the properties menu select the video track from the left menu and then mask form the right menu. From there you can import a mask file that can block out the name.

-Hope it helps

Thank you so much for your help. I am using QT Pro, took a frame out from the movie, imported into Graphic Converter, removed the rest of the image, saved as PICT, imported as MASK into the original movie project, inverted and BADABING, it works! Thanks again!
