I am a PowerBook newbie. I have been Wintel since they were introduced. Decided to try Appple. My question is:

1)If I buy FCP 3.0 can I do edit and then export to a format (AVI, QT, etc) that my Windows XP machine can understand - can I then burn it onto my HP 200DVDi DVD burner? (Dumb thing doesnt support APPLE or i would drop it into a FireWire case and use it external with PB)?

2)Can i get a copy of iDVD from a friend and use it on my PB and then export final edit to burn on Windows machine?

Thanks for you help - I think I am going to enjoy this PB!!
(BTW I am a self-employeed computer consultant dealing with Windows machine - so dont tell my clients!)

Assuming you have DVD authoring software on the PC, yes.

No. First, you can't use iDVD on a Mac that doesn't have a DVD burner, last I checked. Second, iDVD has to burn to the DVD itself -- there is no intermediate format.
The server made a boo boo. (403)
