Can't play AVIs on QT 6

Anyone know why Quictime 6 on OS X either can't play AVIs or plays them all fuzzy (just a bunch of vibrating squiggly lines?

I have tried a whole bunch of plugins and nothing seems to help, even 3ivx. Shouldn't Quicktime 6 play AVIs without third party plugins? Any advice would be great!

AVI's can be problematic. You may need some sort of compression algorithm or plugin.

maybe you should try using released software
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool

QT6 is not intended to play AVI's filez... it sure WILL play mpeg4 but you'll need specific codecs to be able to play avi's (such as 3ivx or ffmpeg...)

be sure to run QT6 as soon as the OFFICIAL release will be available...
