After having read the instructions, I understand that I have to convert (export) my FCP movie file to a Quicktime file, then import it into iDVD. I did it, it worked fine, I burned a DVD and it looks great when played on my computer. However, it looks like crap-ola when played on my TV through my component DVD player. I have to believe it's a wrong setting or two that I have selected for the FCP-to-Quicktime export. The problem is that on the TV, it looks almost posterized, and not nearly as crisp and perfect as it is when played on my computer.

Any tips, hints, settings suggestions, etc., would be GREATLY appreciated. I've got 20 people waiting for DVD's of this thing!

Thanks.

Try to export the movie from FCP as a FCP movie (DV NTSC Superwhite selected after that if you using it here in the US or PAL for ROTW) Hi-res + Audio and Video and leave the "Make Movie Self-Contained" unchecked or it will take a long time to export. I have used these settings (they are the default FCP movie export options I think) many times with iDVD2 and have had nothing but good results. iDVD recognizes the FCP movie just as any other QT but it insures that you are getting the maximum quality.

Hope this helps
