DVD Studio Pro...need some help

I'm seriously thinking of buying DVD SP because iDVD is far too limited for what I'm trying to do. However, I'm concerned that most of the features might be too daunting to master for a relative beginner. I don't want to spend a fortune wasting blank media just to get things right. The "manuals" that Apple usually includes with its software are pretty poor. Is there a good site that provides a DVD SP tutorial so I can see what I'm in for before I plunk down some serious cash? Any help is appreciated.

Although I have never used DVD SP or seen the manuals, but, if they are anything like the FCP manuals(which are awesome) you shouldn't have a problem learning the program. It seems that apple includes a full set of manuals with their pro products since they are a lot harder to use then programs such as iDVD.
