I am seeing dataVis errors when I try to install or update QT 4.x on any Macs where I work. I noticed that this began after our network dept put up a fire wall.
When I use an ethernet drop that is outside the fire wall the QT install/updates flies with no errors, so I think it's a firewall issue. Any Ideas why?

What kind of errors are you seeing specifically related to other software? The exact text or error code might be helpful.

Hi. I am having this problem. There were two solutions posted on the Apple site. One: remove anything Quicktime from your Mac (if you are Mac) and then try to download using the option for proxy server if you have one.

Two: get the CD from Apple, as much a pain as that is. I've tried multiple times to download without a proxy and had same issue. Apple has not responded to my emails.
