I installed QT5 today in OS 9. After trying it out I restarted into OS X. I loaded up IE and then the Quicktime website. I received an error that IE could not find my Quicktime Plug-in. I went to the about internet explorer menu item and clicked support. Now IE for OS X claims it is using the Quicktime Plug-in 5.0a5 for Quicktime support which I'm sure is causing the problem. Any ideas on how to remedy the situation? I don't want to mess around with the system and screw something up.

Ok, I uninstalled QT5 and reinstalled QT4.1.2 but now my IE for OS X will only use the QT 4.1.1 Plug-in, not the OS X version. As a result I'm still in the same boat. DOH!
This should cause IE to revert to the QTPlugin file burried in the System?library/... folder.
Thank you! That did the trick! Unfortunately I had to do this through OS 9 so I could get into the folder. Is there a way to do this through OS X? Also, thanks to QT 5 I noticed not only did it replace the Quicktime plug-in but it also put a quicktime class file in there too with a version 5.0a5. Was there ever a version from OS X in there or should I just get rid of the 5.0a5 file?
