I don't know if it's just me but I ran movie cleaner EZ last night under QT 5 with the sorenson codec. THe movei was set to have a datarate of 300. When I awoke
this morning not only was the video not done compressing (It's only 1.5G, 47 min) but the Average DataRate was somewhere about 2Gb/s> Way, way wayyyy
over what I had limited it too.

I restarted the compression since the estimated file size was goign to be too large for a CD, and set the datarate to 200 and watched as the datarate increased from
100 to over 800 when I left for the office. What the hell happened to the sorenson codec? It has always been very strict with datarates. Or is it Movie Cleaner?

Make sure that "maintain mimimum quality" is turned off. The Sorenson CODEC in QT 5 is the same one that's in QT 4 (Sorenson Video 2.1.) The Sorenson 3 CODEC has not come out yet. Your problem, I assume, would be inside of the MediaCleaner EZ settings.

Update!!. MOviecleaner 4 apparently was giving false information. After the movie rendered. I found that the Datarate was lower than what I had set it for ( I'm not compaining). QT5 must be informing Moviecleaner differently than QT4.

Also on the side. The QT 5 player is choppy. I played teh resulting 490MB movie on QT5 player and QT2.5 player and the 5 player skipped often while the 2.5 player stayed smooth. go figure
