I would like to convert twenty pictures (jpg) from a non-descriptive jpg format to a QuickTime format. I uploaded the photos to a subscriber photo album/website and then accidently deleted the originals. I downloaded the images back to my harddrive but they were in a different form (prefaced with MF2W_###.jpg). Now each time I open them I must find a supporting application to open them juxtapose to just clicking on the photo image and QT automatically opening them.

Any solutions?

It just means that the "Creator" and "Type" codes have been changed. Download ResEdit from www.versiontracker.com, and in it, go to File-->Get File/Folder Info, and the select the file. Change the "type" to "JPEG" and the "Creator" to "ogle."

Do that to all the files and they'll open in Picture Viewer.

I also hear there is way to change them all at once, though I don't know where to get the program.
