I have found that many mpegs when downloaded have the wrond doc type. By changing the file type to "MPEG" with an app like FileTyper, it would fix most of the problems. FileTyper<http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~dazuma/filetyper/> also lets you create AutoTypers to automate the process. I have put a couple in my iDrive(iaberle), if you would like to take a look. As long as the file has a .mpg or .mpeg suffix, "Mpeg2QuicktimeMpeg" will give it the proper filetype and creator.
