Posted this on a couple boards and no one knows (or cares, and just ignores them). Does MS have plans to release Windows Media Player 7 for OS X. There are a LOT of a/v out there that only supports MP. I hope so...

I haven't heard MS specifically identify Media Player, however they are releasing "most" of their new products in late summer or fall for OSX...

i really hope they'll put some time into it too. the current version of WM player for mac is barely useable.

I am sure MS will put out WMP for X at some point. Actually, I think I can guarantee that, but you will probably have to wait a while. We all have to wait for a lot of software for X (including FCP, PS, etc.)
