QT5 Full Screen slightly askew?

I've realized this horrible reality, but now frickin QT5 in full screen mode has a huge black bar on the left - at all resolutions of varying video clips. Even DV played fullscreen is pushed right, with a black bar on the left. This seriously sucks - am I alone here?
