Can anyone give me an idea in regards to an alert dialog box I receive when trying to open a saved project.

I have completed a project, saved it, closed the project and come back later, tried to open it and I get the following alert: Unable to open that file. It is either locked, write-protected, or used by another application.

Anyone with some Adobe Premiere experience please help, or is my 2 hours of work lost?

Can anyone tell me how to import DV from the camcorder directly into the Premier? I'm at a lost so, I'm stuck using Imovie2 which isn't bad, but lacks the features I would like to use.

Thanks

Notions, I had the exact same problem on my version of Premiere 5.1c for about a month. I searched for a while and found no solution to this bizarre problem. The only connection I found during this period was that it appeared to only "lock up" the projects I was working on if I exported the file directly. (ie. not to Quicktime, etc) Once I'd exported it, it wouldn't open in Premiere again.

The solution I DID eventually settle on?

Final Cut Pro 1.2.5. Absolutely Fantastic. It's like Apple made Premiere and cut out all the crap. Great program.
