I've been considering buying an Analog to Digital bridge and so far I've only found the Dazzle and the Formac products? I believe the Dazzle is a better deal for the price but I'd like to know how it performs. What about Formac Studio - Is it worth paying the extra money? I don't really care taht much for the TV tuner, although it's kinda fun. What I really care is image quality. Drop a line if you have any comments.

The Hollywood DV Bridge IS the Dazzle product. I have a Sony Digital Media Converter (DVMC-DA2, lists for $399, but you can find it for close to $300 if you shop around). It works great and is very small (about the size of box of cigarettes!).

The only problem I have with it is that it will not stream a PAL video signal. The Formac Studio will stream a PAL signal (that may not be an issue for most people, but I had been hoping to be able to convert some videos for some friends in Australia).

I'm not sure about the other devices, but my DMC appears in the Sound Control Panel as an audio in and audio out option so I can use it to record audio in my microphone-less G4 Cube.

After checking out the Dazzle forum at http://dazzle.bcastvideo.com/guests?hidden= you might want to consider something else. Check out PowerR's Director's Cut--NTSC/PAL, $349--http://www.powerr.com. I bought both and the Director's Cut really works well and is a much more quality product than the Dazzle.
