imovie editing technique.

hey all. i was just wondering if any of you dv enthusiasts knew how to slip audio in imovie. the video and audio are permanently married, and i cant make video only edits. can anyone help me? thanks

Well, I know one way, albeit a bit convoluted. You'll need Quicktime Pro too. Import the video segment you want the audio only from. Export it to quicktime. The size doesn't really matter. Open in Quicktime Pro and extract the audio track. You can then save it as an AIFF file an import it back into iMovie. I've used this method to get voice-overs from taped interviews.
