Converting Quicktime to other formats?

I've created some movies with iMovie and I'm going to burn them onto a CD, intended to be read by both Mac and PC users. Seeing as iMovie only exports Quicktime (unsuprisingly), can anyone recommend an application that will convert Quicktime to MPEG, Windows Media Player or Realplayer formats? I'm having trouble finding such a thing, but surely it must exist?
I also thought of putting the Windows Quicktime player onto the CD, but so far at my work machine I've been unable to get it to successfully download.
Thanks for any help!
Steve

Media Cleaner can convert to all those formats. It's a little pricey, but it's the best.
Astarte Mpeg encoder 3.5.1e has given me decent MPEGs, but I don't think Astarte still exists. I also have a freeware program called Movie2MPEG, but I've never tried it. There are probably a few other mpeg encoders, I'll leave that search up to you.
RealProducer has a free version and can encode real player files.
There is no Windows Media encoder for mac (besides Media Cleaner)

Thanks for suggestions. I had tried some of the freeware MPEG converters, but they all froze up on me! However, I've got Realproducer working, so I'll just use that.

Real? noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
sorry, I hate Real's software. An inexpensive solution is to pay the $30 for QTPro. You can then use the QT player to export many formats (including Indeo avi with the free extensions installed). I like your idea of including the QT installer for the windows user. My favorite software is Cleaner (though it's a bit more than $30). My favorite codec is Sorenson2.

Allow me to second memento sentiments. Avoid Real at all costs.
QuickTime Pro is the best solution. Check out this page to find out why.
In addition to the fact that the quality of RealMedia sucks, and the fact that the player sucks, when you convert your media files to Real, you can not go back. You can always transcode from any QuickTime compatible format to any other, and the files are still editable with any QuickTime compatible application (QuickTime Player, Avid, Final Cut, Premier, etc.).
I'd leave the files in QuickTime format, and include the full QuickTime installers for Mac OS and Windoze on the CD. The stand-alone installers can be downloaded here.

Thanks, jcarr.
I failed to explain why real sucks. It's important to know that there's a reason why and not just that I don't like it. My biggest problem with it is that you can't convert OUT of their format. Same with WiMP.

I took everybody's advice! I got Quicktime Pro and exported the files as avi, which I'm putting on the CD alongside the Quicktime versions and the Quicktime player. There's plenty of space left, so I'm putting on RealPlayer versions of the movies as well, HOWEVER I'm including a Readme that states clearly that Real sucks and that anyone with half a brain should use Quicktime.
I think that covers everything...
