I'm having a problem in the college video lab that I run. I have the computers set up under Multiple Users (OS 9), but it appears when you're logged in as anyone other than the owner, it won't let you view the video through the firewire while you're editing. Log and Capture works fine, the video just doesn't show up on the monitor. I've tried setting the non-owner up as a normal rather than a limited user and it doesn't help.

FCP 3 and OS X are coming soon (as are two new iMacs!), but I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to fix this in the interim.

Anyone have any experience with this problem, or multiple users in general? It seems like a great concept and has worked really well for the month or so I've had it set up, but some of the execution is questionable.

Specs: Power Mac G4, 450MHz, 512MB RAM; FCP 1.2.5; Sony DSR-20 deck
