MP3 decoding story

I've been using MPeckers drop decoder to decode mp3s into Aiff for some time now. Every now and then I get a message; Cannot decode because format is not MP3. I always blew it off thinking there was a problem with the encoding process in the song. Just recently I tried to decode the same song in Quicktime pro.
Well, Merry Christmas to me. So if this helps anyone else, Merry Christmas to you too.
