hey all.....

i don't know anything about recording sound with a dv cam.....my camera (canon zr20) needs an external power source for a mic. i read somewhere that this means i need a "condensor mic".....

first, what is a condensor mic? what are the low-level of these mics thta i could get?

secondly, if i was out shooting somewhere, and wanted to use the mic, it would be annoying to need to be plugged in somewhere. so, is there any type of rechargeable battery that can be used for such mics?

lastly, the mic would at times have to be far away from the camera. what kind of cord could i use to get the mic far away and still record into the camera?

thanks

-matt
