Sony TRV20 + Powerbook + iMovie

Has anyone used a Sony TRV20 with a PowerBook G3 and iMovie. I have a G3/500 and am thinking of getting the TRV20 but want to make sure there are no problems before I purchase it. I know it is not on Apple's list but have seen on forums that people have used it successfully on desktop Macs. I don't know if there would be a difference with a PowerBook.

I know its not the same setup but my TRV103 works great with a G4 and imovie2

yeah i have the trv20 and its great. Cant get any better than that.
