I kept my fingers crossed for QT6 at Tokyo, but no go... That is really upsetting. I only hope it make it in July... tick tock... tick tock...

I have looked all over hotline for QT6, and nothing, not even a QT6beta/hack/lie/fake...

I just watched my first DivX5 movie - The Hunt - and it was impressive. I had to pull the file out of the browser cache and drop it on the Validator (which comes with the DivX 5) before QT would play it.

I wonder which (major) studio will release the first Divx 5 movie trailer? It can't be far off.

It's amazing that NO copies of QT 6 have been "smuggled" out - given that some developers have had a version of it for some time. (lol) I wonder how much cash it would take to get a copy? Anyone here want to spit the cost. . . mitchell-pgh?

Wow, I wonder how much I would pay for QT with MPEG4 and AAC? I would love to have a copy, but 1/2 of the fun will be having the ability to share my creations with others. I have a beach house this summer, and would love to have some footage of the events that go on there on the web in MPEG4... that would just be too cool!

Oh well... I say we try to sneak into Apple and grab a copy... Go to a conference about QuickTime with an iPod or something :-)

Larry Horn (VP, Licensing and Business Development, MPEG LA LCC) is going to be a guest on Shawn King's "Your Mac Life" this coming Wednesay. You can e-mail suggested questions/comments to Shawn.

On another note, Sony Pictures is the first major Hollywood studio to release a movie trailer in DivX 5 video format. "xXx", stars Vin Diesel and will be released this summer.

I have been all over the place, and haven't found a copy... I'm more upset that Apple can't give it out... it's one thing to have a pirate copy, it's another for Apple to have it out there for everyone to use...

that article doesn't really say much... It's like vapor-news... I will be happy when I click on Software update, and I see Quicktime 6.0... I can't wait.

I have a ton of Digital8 tapes waiting for MPEG4. I'm going to make a nice smallville CD MPEG4 collection... I hope my 733 is up to the task.
