Why is it that when I edit a Quicktime Movie down to one quarter it's original size (cut and paste) , the file size remains the same as the original movie? What can I do to reduce the file size to reflect the shortened movie?

Use "Save As" from QuickTime Player and select "Make movie self-contained"

Thanks for the reply.....but doing what you suggest still does not reduce the new file size from the original file size. Any more suggestions?
