I have a bunch of old super 8 reels, I'm talking 25 years. I was looking for a way to put them onto either VHS or MiniDV so I could edit them with FCP. Does anyone know if this is possible? The reels are probally pretty fragile.
Thanks for your help.

Most video/photo stores can either do this for you or knows someone who can. Be warned that it's a bit expensive though.

a (low tech) option would be to play them on a projector and then use a DV camera to shoot the projected image on the screen or wall. Some of my friends have tried this... and it came out very well - Super8 will always have that grainy feel to it anyway.
