Alternative to RTMac card

Does anyone know if there is a cheaper alternative to the RTMac card? I'm just looking for something that will help speed up the effects and video in FCP3.

Isn't it all real time in FCP3 if you have a G4 500 or better? I didn't think the RT card was required anymore. What are you running it on?
