MP3 question I think

I'm not sure what type of question this is. I have about 300 MP3 files. They are all Quicktime files. However, I recently started using SoundJam and really like this app. So, I'd like to convert all these mp3 files from having QT as their creator app to having SoundJam. I know I can do this in ResEdit, but it will be a pain in the rear with 300 files to change. Is there a program or script that will do this for me.

Note: I know I can use the files in SoundJam, and they work fine. I just get annoyed now that when I double click the MP3 I want to hear that it opens up in Quicktime.

Any help would be appreciated.

In case you need to email me, my email is NDBounce@hotmail.com

There's plenty ways to do this.

I used 'musicvac' before -> http://www.macdigitalaudio.com/software/
choose 'editing' and then download 'musicvac'
It allows you to do id3 editing etc but soundjam is better to edit tags.

There's probably a little app called 'Soundjam autotyper' but I can't find it with google.

Maybe Soundjam can convert types of the files it plays automatically (look in the preferences)

If you use CM Tools 3.0, you can adjust type/creator codes via contextual menu, very easily, as well as a ton of stuff. CM Tools should be standard fare with the Mac OS.

there's definitely a preference in soundjam that sets creator types. once u enable it, any mp3 that you open becomes soundjam's type.
