I need some high quality video a friend has on a huge pro broadcast system.

He has firewire export from Premere.

When he exports out of Premere (windows nt) it takes a long time to create a DV file. When if he exports via firewire to my my Sony TR-7000, I can copy it in real time. I then import from my Sony to FCP via firewire in realtime.

Which way produces the higher quality video?

iMovie exports DV pretty fast...seems like about real time.
