I'm having probs with my iMic. I got it sometime last May and never tried using it until just recently. I want to be able to transfer some cassettes to CD and well my PB Ti 400 does not have audio in so I decided to buy the iMic from Griffing Technologies. It's gotten rave reviews and all but on my PB it doesn't always show up in the output part of the Sound Control panel and when it does it's recording quality is really poor. I'm not expecting professional grade audio quality just something decent. Any suggestions on what to do or recommendations for another audio-in device would be greatly appreciated. I'm running MacOS 9.2.1 and OS X with 256MB of RAM.

and, this isn't a powerbook question. feels more like a multimedia or peripherals question.

I'm going to move it to multimedia, and then if you don't get good answers there, go to peripherals with it- but really, this isn't powerbook.
