DVDs that won't play on iMac

I have found the following DVD movies which won't play on our iMac DV+ 450mhz :

Pokemon Alice in Wonderland

It's not a Region thing, I'm in UK & the discs are Region 2

Has anyone else found DVDs which cannot be played? is there any plan to upgrade the DVD Software?

What can I do?
