I'm thinking of purchasing the device so I can watch TV, hook up my old playstation, maybe record some video to include into an iMovie.

Does anyone have any experience with this product (ie. is it any good)?

Also, how good is USB for tranferring video in general? The general feeling _seems_ that it's crap.

Cheers.

I use the XLR8 Interview USB device so I can't speak to the Eskape Lab product but I am quite satisfied with USB video capture. You are limited to 320x240 resolution at 30 Frames Per Second but with those settings I haven't had any difficutly with capture. I did have to disable some system extensions which were stealing processor cycles during capture to eliminate frame dropping. The Apple Menu Options and the Control Strip extensions were the main culprits IIRC.
