Does anybody know where I can download or get the (QuickTime I guess) product loops that Apple displays on their computers? I know some people thing "Why would anybody want that?" but I'm one of those type of collectors. Also does anybody know where I can find Apple's older commercials in nice full screen resolution? Like 1984...all copies of it that I find are really small. Thanks!

http://www.uriah.com/apple-qt/ has some of the ads. The "1984" is 320 x 236. I haven't seen a larger version on the web.

Also, if you haven't seen the "Pencil-Test" you've GOT to download it.

In ‘88, John Lasseter helped a small team at Apple including Ken Turkowski, Steve Perlman and others, spruce up a little short that was shown at SIGGRAPH. It was done entirely on Macintosh II computers. QuickTime didn't even exist! The movie was output frame-by-frame to an imagesetter, and then recorded to film.

And yes, it's the same John "Pixar" Lasseter.

MacWrite can you publish some of the Copland demo cd content?
Copland is a subject lost on the net.

I have a CD-RW that I constantly update with Apple Movies. I get as many high quality versions as I can. I'm alos looking for a better version of "1984". I have a video called "Triumph of the Nerds" which has at least a segment of that commercial, if not the entire thing. I'll have to check.

I have the Bronze PB G3 and original iBook demo loops.

What format are these demo loops in? Does anybody know of any place to download them? Or can anybody host them on their iDisk w/ public access or something? That would be cool. Thanks

So they must be pretty big... So is there anywhere other than buying a CD that I could get copies of these? Like for free? heh (Who in their right mind would want to pay for something... :-)

Hey all, I am away until Next Saturday, when I get home I will put up my HL server (legally) and give you access to my extensive extensive Apple Commercail, Keynote collection. and my 4 demo CD's

FXWixard, can you make all your demo CD's into compressed disk copy images and upload then to my server? then we can all access then.

and everyone upload any videos I don't have to share with all of us.

Also I have a forum dedicated to Apple movies etc (look down the page on my main forums), and was thinking of doing a site to catalogue all these demo CD's, Keynotes, Promo stuff, commercials etc.

I would love to get all of those demo CD's and rare vidoes.

So my server will be up next saturday (March 2). Since I am away right now. so FXWizard get cracking on making disk images of all those demo CD's. and everyone else catalogue your collections so that you can upload what is not on the server.

It's not a question of the SIZE, but Apple has been known to yank people's iTools accounts for putting questionable material on their iDisk.

Could you please please make compressed disk copy images of all those Demo CD's, and upload them to the HL server I am putting up on Saturday/Sunday (when I get home)?

Then all us collectors can download them.

Thanks

Mac Write, thanks for hosting these files. Unfortunately I'm getting no response at the address you gave above. Is your server down right now?

I had to take the server down saturday night, since my computer was grinding to a hault.

This is my only computer. I will try to but it up when I go away March 22-29. I may be able to have it up during the day March 19-21.

I am working on a new project right now, and I need the computer to be @ it's best (it's only a Beige G3 266 running Mac OS X).
