iTunes Exported Playlists....why?

I haven't found any viable use for them. You can't even reimport them into itunes.

And the listing is totally unusable if you want to print it out for example...

Is there a program that makes use of these or something?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing, but eventually found out that you can open the exported list in Applworks or Excel.

But why the hell doesn't it let you import into iTunes?? *sigh*

I use these frequently to create a list of songs & artists for my CD jewel case covers:

I export the playlist, then import it into a database which I've made in Appleworks, using just the song names & artist names. Once in that database, the names can be edited.
Once I have the list onscreen the way I want it, I do a screen capture of just the list. Then I use that PICT by pasting it into Photoshop as part of my CD cover. Works great.

I have this whole procedure automated using OneClick so it takes about 8 seconds.
