I just opened up my brand new iPod. Plugged it in and got an apple logo and then a firewire logo so it appears to be connected.

I open up itunes and I don't see iPod in the source list. I am using system 9.1 and have been told that it will still work even though 9.2 is recommended.

What could I be going wrong and do I , in fact, need 9.2
